Just a 15-minute walk from Thun train station, the Schlossberg boasts magnificent views over the city, lake and high Alps. Thanks to the good public transport connections, the city of Thun can be reached from Bern in just 20 minutes, and from Zurich, Basel or Lausanne in 90 minutes. From Bern: Take the A6 to Thun-Nord. Take Bernstrasse in the direction of Thun. At the third traffic circle, take the second exit (Burgstrasse). Continue to the Schlossberg junction. There are no parking spaces available on the Schlossberg. You must use the surrounding parking garages. You can drive right up to the castle to load and unload.
